Workstation postures are more important than you can imagine. With average sit periods now extending to 1.5 hours, the spinal loads due to passive sitting have an adverse effect on the tissues of the musculoskeletal system.
Relative motion due to postural transitions have been researched to have the most optimal effect on the human body in the work environment. For this we have found 3 postural positions work best in relation to bio mechanic shear and compression loads – Sitting, Perching and Standing.
We recommend regularly transitioning between these 3 postures when using our standing desk.
